Overcoming Flesh and Desires of Flesh

Step A: Before sin cometh at you.
STEP A1: Decide to leave World.
Decide to leave world and its pleasure. You do not want anything that world has and say no to pleasures of world. Enmity with world is friendship with God.
· Make covenant with your eye like job made it.- job 31:1.
· make covenant Daniel not to defile with king meat.- Daniel 1:8
Genesis 14:23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say.
Col 3:3 For ye are dead , and your life is hid with Christ in God.
If u can’t make this decision u can never be victorious. Forget victory it is far from you.
STEP A2; keep his laws in mind.(Hebrew 10;16 “I will put my laws into their hearts”)
Keep his laws in mind. Write them in table of your heart. They will put to remembrance Gods word when sin tempts you. Eve remembered Gods law that God bade her not to eat fruit. Definitely u will also remember it.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Genesis 39:12 .. Joseph fled, and got him OUT.
Isaiah 52:11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean
Job 31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
Daniel 1:8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank:
STEP A3:Pray for this daily.
I want to HATE INIQUITY like u do (Habakkuk 1:13).Then no one can tempt. You are tempted of things that desire for and which You like.. Only possibility that remain in such case is pride and corruption of mind.
· Create in me new heart.(Ezekiel 36:26, psalm 51;10)
· Wash me with your blood and your word.(Psalms 51:7, Ephesians 5:26)
· Build wall of jasper around me (Rev 21:18).
· Let not serpent corrupt my mind.(II corn 11:3)
· Keep in shadow of your wings in your secret places.(psalms 91:5)'
· Give grace that Serpents tail may make me fall from Gods grace.(Rev 12:4)(Jude 1:24)
· let my eyes and mind be pure as like Yours O Lord (Habakkuk 1:13).
· I will not defile myself kings meat nor with his wine (Daniel 1:8)
· I have make covenant with my eyes (Job 31:1)
Step A4: AVOID Occasions
1.Sin will always attack you finding occasion. (Romans 7:8,11)
· SO avoid tempting occasion like TV. Ur heart may deceive u in name of cricket or news. if u r not doing anything remember empty mind is devils workshop.
· Another way is continually singing hymns and praises to God. Buy a nice mp4 player and keep it in your ears. (Ephesians 5:19,20)
Step B: At time of Temptation

STEP B: (R3)
On due occasion when sin attacks you to beguile u seduce you, like it did to eve like it did to Joseph.
Remember ! Rebuke ! Run !.
· Remember laws
· Run out
· Rebuke devil in name of Jesus LOUDLY.
RUN OUT.
Run Not in. Do not keep looking at sin. first look is accident second look is sin.
Do not keep looking at sin like eve did and then she food fruit desirable. first look is accident second look is sin.
REMEMBER HIS WORD: (Hebrew 10;16 “I will put my laws into their hearts”)
When Eve was beguiled she remembered law of God That God forbade her not to eat fruit.
Remember that your heart is deceiver of all and u are being beguiled.
So make decision to run OUT from it like Joseph ran out of Potiphar, house.
Remember 'come out touch no unclean things.'
Remember your unbreakable consecration of undefiled life and covenant that You made with your eye
REBUKE DEVIL
Matthew 4:10 “…Get thee hence, Satan:”
Rebuke Devil in name of Jesus. Be LOUD when You Rebuke. Remember Jesus Rebuked Satan. (Matthew 4:10, Mark 8:33)
FINALLY MOST IMPORTANT: not by might nor by power but by my spirit saith the lord of host Zechariah 4:6,7
RESULT
A: If You are victorious.
STEP C1: Start Praising God. Thanking him from his grace.
STEP C2:Do not be proud that you overcame. Pray for more grace because being defeated it will return with seven more powerful spirits. God will have war with amalekites from generation to generation.
C: If you loose.
Don’t quit! Don’t get discouraged all you have to do is confess your sins before him because his mercies are new every morning [lamentation 3:22, 23]. Don’t listen to heart he is deceiver [Jeremiah 17:9] we may feel discouraged if we listen to our heart. The moment we feel discouraged we start going away from God. We feel distant from God . Discouragement is biggest weapon of our enemy”

God Calls Man

Gods creation can be devided in four phases:
1> Angelic Ceation.(created perfect in wisdom , beauty, ezekiel 28 ) 2> heaven and earth.(acurately created and is amazing psalms 19 ) 3> living creatures and trees(earth is full of goodness, god cares for them) 4> human beings.(in his image n likness and little lower than angels)

God creation man was final or ultimateplan of God.

God kept man in garden of eden. when he trusted serpent more than God he disobeyed God and : 1.lost faith in God, 2.and lost felloship of God, 3.lost face to face communication with God 4.lost courage to face God 5. lost glory of God 6.lost eternal life 7.lost rest of God.

How did man sinned ? 1.MAn was beguiled by serpent, 2.He saw (desires of flesh ), 3.Then he thought it is good to see and eat, 4.He trusted in serpent (he believed in what he saw more than words of God) 5.He lost faith in God, 6.He forgot will of God and went by his ways by his will, his mind heart deceived him 7.He sinned disobeyed God, then came knowledge of evil,then his eyes were opened , 8.He realised waht he did just after he ate fruit although eve also ate but it was only after adam ate fruit there eyes were opened.
God calls man (even though he knew he commited sin) ,

God calls man 4 times:
1.by gospel 2.at time of his death 3.second coming of christ that which are in grave. 4.at final judgment.
When adam sinned God killed animal, and by his blood cleaned his concience and made him
garment from skin of animal.Similalrly jeusus the lamb died for mankind to clean man from sin and give him garments of seven types.When Adam commited sin, from eden he went into cursed land with briers .from garden to land of briers and thorns.Men began to increase on face of earth.He started going away from God.Sin kept on increasing.God looked from above and saw that which cometh out from man is evil.

To save you from sin.

What is sin?
Saint paul says sin is sting of death.
Apostle James says - desire or lust concieves or produces sin and sin death.saint job says i have made convenant with mine eyes.(Job 31:1)
Sin is law in members of body(flesh) (romans 7:23)Flesh and spirit are contrary (galatians 5:17)Sin warreth against my mind.(romans 7;18) O WREtched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death (romans 7:24)

When man sins his eyes opens He realises his nakedness. He is convicted. He repents. What have I done? I disobeyed god!!! He loose self-patience He looses his peace. Then loooses courage and then faith in God that god will forgive him. He feels discouraged and dissapointed at his mistake. He feels guilty. And he goes away from God. (sin seprates Him from God --- Isaiah 59:2 ) He keeps on going away and away fo God. loosing faith in God that he can forgive him. Finally his heart is so heardened that he no longer feels guilty.
His heart says All me are like me all are sinners.(this is lie. he is now under total control of lier)

For man to sin: 1.there must be ocassion 2.somebody should force him 3.acceptance /agreement /he must obey force

Adam and eve seprate(ocassion) beguilment / force by serpent thirdly aceeptance by eve to serpents voice.

In case of joseph : Ocassion came for sin . Seduction, beguilement and force caught his garments But he had no agreement with sin. He did not accept sin He resisted sin and desires of flesh. He had a war within himself(I cornthians 9: 27,romans 7:23, gal 5:17). And he ran outside. He departed . He touched not the unclean things.(isaiah 52:11 )

Who told us we are sinner ?

!!!!!!!!!!!!! (God never tells adam/man u sinned) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Three things tell you that you are a sinner: 1.consience 2.satan 3.law of God

Victory over these convitions: 1 blood of christ over conscience : by cleansing consience that convicts us . (col 1:20) 2. blood of christ over accuser who day n night convicts saints (rev 12:10)
3.blood of christ----on law Romans 8:3 gal 3:13

Why does God call man ?
#To give him peace.: When adam ate forbidden fruit, fear entered him and he hid from God .He lost peace. Isaiah 48:18 (if ye obey my voice peace would have come to you ) # for holiness: II Timothy 1:9 : God calls for man is Holy call.be ye Holy as i am holy (I pet 1:15,16)

Rich Man and the Lazarus

Below is extracts of Late Pastor TU Thomas’s message on Rich man and Lazarus.
Pastor TU says one parable in bible seems as a real story All other were just parable.
Lazarus story seems real because Jesus told name of person as Lazarus.
Any way the question is not about real or unreal parable but
Why did the rich man go to hell. ?
Was this because he had more money ?
Few things suggested here points to why he went to hell.
These are just assumptions and not confirmed.
We find this story in Luke 16:19-21.
Rich Man must have been hell due to following reasons:

1. [REMARRIAGE]. But just before story Jesus speaks something in 18th verse. Luke 16:18
""Every one that putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery:
and he that marrieth one that is put away from a husband committeth adultery"""
It is assumed by scholars that it may be that reason why rich man went to hell May be, because he remarried.

2.. [Are YOU A CARNAL ATTRACTION FOR OTHERS ?]
19 th verse says
Rich man was wearing Clothes of high value(purpled fine linen)
Though we may not wear jewels but whatever we should wear should not bring carnal attraction for others.


3.[NO FASTING]
19 th verse says
He fared sumptuously EVERYDAY..
That means is he had feast everyday. That means he did not fast, not even a single day.
Bible says old people fasted twice a week (Luke 18:12 ).Doctors says many sickness can be healed by fasting. Methodist founder John Wesley says according to bible a man who never fasted is no more on way to heaven. Great saint says Christian who has never fasted will be reduced as worst type of carnal man. His nature all bestow beastly nature. He may live like beast die like beast because beast never fast.
RICH man who never fasted was now in hell .Fasting not only without food but even without water.


4. [FAR AWAY FROM HEART OF GOD]
Abraham appeared far away from him.(Luke 16:23)
Abraham is symbol of presence of God. Rich man found grace of God far away from him. If you live close to God on earth you may be even close to HEART of God in eternity.


5.[TOUNGE]
24 th verse says first place were he was tormented was tongue. Although all places of his body suffered, but tongue is specifically mentioned. Perhaps he may have been in hell because of his tongue.
Rev 9:17 says out of their mouth..
Rev 9;19 says there power was in there mouth.
Death and life are in power of tongue.
Tongue is cause of anger Pastor says “ I prayed God for removing anger from me . One day I saw a dark thing going from me. From that time I got complete victory over my hot temper. Now even if I try by grace of god I cannot be angry because that SPIRIT is gone from me.
James 3:6 speaks of power of tongue.
Tongue is fire. When god created tongue he kept it in water(saliva) .
Bible says if you have evil ( tongue) your future will be evil.
I Peter 3:10 "For, He that would love life, And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips that they speak no guile:"

6.[RECEIVE GOOD THINGS][TITHE]
25th verse says he was Receiving good things
May be he never gave anything he was only receiving
He may have never given money to poor. HE would have not given tithes.
Malachi 3: 7,8 says if you give not tithe you turn away from god .
Tithe not only means of money but everytihng we get from god . Even time. Do we have time for god. do we help poor and needy?

7.[ABSENCE OF PEACE AMONG BRETHREN]
26th verse says there is gulf between them
Gulf signifies distance/difference between brothers / families and hearts.
If now gulf is not fixed then that cannot be removed later after death.
Pray God to remove gulf.


8.[TESTIFY TO SINNERS]
IN HELL NO PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED.(28th verse)
His Last desire was of testifying
While on earth he may have never given testimony
Not only in church but also to sinners on way to hell
Ask grace from God to testify .
There is story of A young man who prayed to God “ God don’t give me material blessing but give twenty-one souls”. Next year he testified god gave him twenty one souls.

So Please be aware of mistakes that rich man did. Do we do the same mistakes. Have we remmried? Are we reason of attraction and sin for others? Do we fast? Are we far away from God? How is our tounge ? Do we rob God in tithes, do we lend money to poor and needy ?Is there peace among bretheren ? Have we ever testified to sinners?

Saint paul Says : If I look at myself there is no good thing in my flesh.(Romans 7: 18).So there is nothing good in us.Our righteousness is as filthy rags before God.(isaiah 54:6).Even the high priest Joshua wore garments that looked filthy.(Zechar 3:3)
Hence pastor TU says We will be caught up only by grace of God.(I peter 1:13)
Bible says "they that looked at him were lightened and there faces were not ashamed (psalms
34:5) Where are you looking at ??Look at author and finisher of of faith (heb 12:2)

Zech 4: 6,7 says :
"6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. 7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall
bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. "
This Great mountain can be our unbelief(that we wont be caught up) our unsanctified nature. Zerubbabel symbolizes 'God of all grace'(I peter 5:10 '..God of all grace.....')
Before God of all Grace our unbelief and unsanctified nature will change by shouting grace
grace before headstone.
Headstone is finishing stone which is final work of perfection when God shall bulid zion.That perfection will be complete shouting Grace Grace Grace

Noah found Grace of god.(Genesis 6;8)
God told him to build the ship which could float over mountains at time of flood.(genesis
6:14 and genesis 7:19)

Once again I make same mistake

"I believe we all have taken part in lords table these days and have repented of mistakes we committed but since then may be we had still repeated our old mistakes and then we feel discouraged. it happens with me all time I commit mistake again an again my heart convicts me “ you commit mistake again and again and you go to god and ask forgiveness to god.?”

I believe God made me remember following words from bible :

Jesus forgives sins: (There sin and lawless acts I will remember no more)

• Jeremiah 31:34 “…….for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
• Isaiah 43: 25 “I even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.”
• Heb 10:17 “and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.”

Zechariah:3: 3,4
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. 4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

We may repeat our mistake but:
Proverb 24: 16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: …………………..
According to Matthew 18:22 Jesus expects us to forgive our trespassers seventy times seven. Will not then he forgive our sins more times than what he expects us .
Lamentation 3:22,23 (His mercies are new every morning )
22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion fail not.23 THEY ARE NEW EVERY MORNING………… ….
Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, GRACE did much more abound:

All we have to do
Confess:
I john 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Believe he has forgiven:
Romans 3:28(Justified by faith) “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”.

JESUS AT THE WINDOW
There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced in the woods, but he could never hit the target. Getting discouraged, he headed back home for dinner. As he was walking back, he saw Grandma's pet duck. Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed it. In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the woodpile, only to see his sister watching. Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing. After lunch, Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes." But Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen today, didn't you Johnny?" She whispered, "Remember, the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes. Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing, and Grandma said, "I'm sorry, but I need Sally to help me make supper."
But Sally smiled and said, "That's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help." And she whispered again, "Remember, the duck?" Sally went fishing, and Johnny stayed home. After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's, he finally couldn't stand it any longer. He came to Grandma and confessed that he killed the duck. She knelt down, gave him a hug, and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window, and I saw the whole thing. But because I love you, I forgave you.

"But, I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you.”Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done that the enemy keeps throwing up in your face (lying, cheating, hurting a loved one, whatever!), no matter what it is, you need to know that Jesus Christ was standing at the window, and He saw the whole thing. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He's just wondering how long you will let the enemy make a slave of you. The wonderful thing about God is that He not only forgives you, but He also forgets your sins as soon as you confess to Him.

However, the devil kept condemning him. After many years of struggling with condemnation, one day he approached an elderly sister in the church who often had visions of Christ. “sister, next time, when you see Jesus, please ask him what sin i committed when i was young.” She agreed.
